About Us
Bolton Christian Community Cohesion (BCCC) exists to inspire and encourage Christian Organizations across the borough to fulfil their potential to serve the many different communities in Bolton, by encouraging and supporting events which bring people together. The organisation was formed in 2005 and is led by a management team under the leadership of Bolton Church Leaders' Fourm. Administrative and financial oversight is provided by Greater Manchester Industrial Mission.
As a Christian body, BCCC wants to promote methods of improving relationships and to help people in need in practical ways. BCCC works with some 150 Christian Centres and employes 3 project workers. The organisation provides a forum for the exhange of ideas and the sharing of best practice, as well as volunteering opportunities.

BCCC act as a dedicated resource to the network of Bolton's Christian Community Projects, chaplaincies and churches, in order to assist these groups to promote a sense of belonging for all peopole regardless of background. To promote a "signpost resource centre" to support churches and Christian organisations, to include training, information, funding and coaching, to build & sustain the capacity of churches etc. to demonstrate faith through action. This involves working in various ways to incease tolerance, understanding and appreciation between people of different faiths and none, pursuing social justice through social action, and helping all people achieve their God-given potential. Activity includes maintaining a database of activity in local churches & sharing to encourage involvement.
BCCC have worked in partnership with Bolton Council and Bolton Interfaith in many events to promote awareness and understanding by participating in community events and Faith Trails which gives the opportunity to share and think about Christian faith in an innovative way as well as learning about other faiths and allowing other faiths to deeper understand each other.
Workplace: Supporting chaplaincies in Hospitals, the University and the Town centre, which provide multi-faceted support and access to staff, students, customers, visitors and patients from the entire Bolton community, regardless of faith or the absence of faith. Outcomes are, amongst others, contributions to overall satisfaction and a sense of belonging and mixing together.
